Lacewood Coasters (set of 4)

Drinks Coasters made from Lacewood,the coasters have been coated with Oil then finished off with 2 coats of acrylic lacquer with felt on the underside.
Lacewood comes from the Plane tree which is cut a certain way with the grain and produces a specled look a bit like Lace, this effect does vary within the timber.

Drinks Coasters made from Spalted Beech, the coasters have been coated with Oil then finished off with 2 coats of acrylic lacquer with felt on the underside.
Spalted Beech starts off as a normal Beech tree which is left on the forest floor to start the natural rot of the timber, the fungus starts to grow through the timber then it is halted by drying the timber and you are left with some beautiful and striking colours which do vary.
